Wáahlaal was a hungry reporter of the Republic News, one of the most popular publications in Republic City. She was interested in getting juicy stories above all.[2]
History
A journalist with a nose for a story, Wáahlaal tried to make a name for herself by any means necessary. Though she would not want to see anyone physically harmed, she did not care if she ruined someone's reputation or published harsh critiques, as long as she got a good story out of it.
Wáahlaal started investigating the morass around Wakkanai, San Ho, and the Utilities Commission, and started to get some useful leads.[1] She kept a picture of Wakkanai and Yinuo from back when they first partnered on technology for the water treatment facility in the offices of the Republic News, and kept a whole folder tracking the two as Wakkanai rose and Yinuo fell. She began to spend time around the Southern Water Tribe Cultural Center, and was knowledgeable about the shady dealings that Varrick had been up to twenty years beforehand.[3]
Personality
Wáahlaal felt she had an obligation to the people of Republic City to present the truth, though she was sometimes caught between her desire for recognition and her determination for information.[1]
