Personal life

Ambudkar was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to parents who had emigrated from southern India in the 1980s. He starred in comedy roles at his high school in Rockville, MA, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Tisch School of Arts at New York University in 2004.

He married Naomi Campbell (not to be confused with the more famous model of the same name) in 2019, and has two children.

Career

Ambudkar began his career as a VJ for MTV Desi, and had his beginnings in the hit film Pitch Perfect, as well as the television series The Mindy Project and The Muppets.

He was in a deleted scene of Disney's 2020 live action remake of Mulan, and appeared in Disney's Godmothered and the 2021 action comedy Free Guy. He has a voice acting role in Disney Junior's Mira, Royal Detective, and is in a starring role on CBS's sitcom Ghosts, an American remake of the original BBC series.
