Description
Relive the story of the Avatar against the Fire Nation and Sozin's Comet! Assemble Aang and his friends to battle your foes and defeat the Fire Lord! In the free online role playing game, Avatar: The Last Airbender: Sozin's Echo, new abilities, new bosses, and new characters will be introduced. Use your newfound abilities and those of the new Avatar characters to battle. Together, Aang, Sokka, and Katara can band together and beat the enemies.
Objective
Help Team Avatar battle Fire Nation soldiers and buzzard wasps as they travel across the world to save it from the Fire Nation and Sozin's Comet.
Gameplay
Character controls
Each character has a standard attack and one special ability, based on their element or, in Sokka's case, his weapons. The player chooses how to proceed in combat by clicking on a character's action icon when it is their turn.
- Katara is able to heal all team members with her special ability.
- Sokka is able to stun a single enemy for an entire turn with his boomerang.
- Toph can bury an enemy opponent, immobilizing them for several turns. She becomes available in the second stage after the player gets Team Avatar past the first stage.
- Zuko is able to deal heavy damage to all current enemies with a fire blast. For the first stage of the game, he is also a boss enemy to be faced at the end of the first stage. He becomes available in the third stage after the player gets Team Avatar past the second stage.
- Aang has a special ability that lets him reduce all accuracy of the current enemies through an air blast. As the player progresses through each stage of the game, Aang unlocks and is able to fight with the other elements. His water attack delays the attacking time of the enemies, his earth ability provides him with a protective shield, and his fire attack deals heavy damage to a single target.
You can choose which enemy that each member of Team Avatar targets by clicking on one of the opponents before commencing each member's attacks. The health of each team member is indicated by a green semi-circle bar on the front of each character. When fully depleted, the character is taken out for the rest of the battle.
Each time a character participates in battle and scores a victory, they earn experience points. If they are taken out of the battle by losing all health, then they do not get any experience.
Outside of boss fights, the members of Team Avatar who are available for combat will vary randomly by chance.[1]
Battle icons

Icons appear from time to time during combat and provide advantages to Team Avatar should the player click on the icons:
- A fist icon boosts the recharge speed of each character's action time, temporarily reducing the usual waiting time needed for each character to have their turn, leaving them less exposed to enemy attacks.
- A lightning bolt icon instantly makes all team members' special abilities available.
- A cross icon fully heals all team members.
- A fleeing icon is always available near the bottom of the screen. If a battle is going badly, or if the player wants to switch up characters, this icon can be clicked to flee from the current battle. It must be noted that if Team Avatar is in the midst of traveling from one town to another, fleeing from a battle will result in them falling back all the way to the last town they were at.[1]
Traveling
When not in combat, a map is shown, with an icon of Appa's face indicating the current location of Team Avatar. Towns are visible on the map as red dots, and are safe havens for the team on their journey. While traveling from town to town, however, Team Avatar is open to attack from Fire Nation soldiers and wild animals.
The game is started in this mode.[1]
Enemies
- Buzzard wasps are the starting enemies of the game, and the ones that are easiest to defeat.
- Fire Nation soldiers are the second enemies seen in the game. They are more durable than buzzard wasps, but are still relatively easy to take down. Along with the buzzard wasps, they are the most common enemies faced by Team Avatar in the game.
- Canyon crawlers are faced in the final stage of the game. They are the hardest and most durable enemies to defeat, outside of bosses.
- Zuko is the first boss enemy to be faced in the game. He can be defeated if the player battles wisely with Aang, Katara, and Sokka.
- Princess Azula is the second boss enemy to be faced. She is more tougher and slightly powerful than Zuko, but can still be defeated with considerable ease if battled strategically, especially with the addition of Toph to the team.
- Fire Lord Ozai is the final boss enemy to be faced. To complete the game and win, the player must defeat him. He is the most dangerous enemy and can take down Aang, Katara, Toph, and Zuko with ease if left unchecked. Sokka is the only member of Team Avatar who cannot face him in battle.[1]
