Samten was a girl of Fire Nation heritage whose parents sold her to the Rising Flame Triad in Republic City. Despite her difficult past, Samten remained an optimist.[1]
History
Samten's parents sold her to the Rising Flame Triad to pay off a debt and never came back, and only left her with a small book about the Fire Nation's dragons, which Samten became obsessed with. Samten read the book so many times the binding came apart, and she began to dream of one day visiting her ancestral home in the Fire Nation to see one in real life.
Eventually, Samten managed to escape the Rising Flame Triad's clutches and managed to learn how to fight with a staff along the way. She was determined not to let her dark past destroy her bright future - and thought that all she needed next was to make enough money and notoriety to follow her dreams.[1]
Personality
Samten was a somewhat lonely person, but was also joyful and did not let her dark past cloud her dreams for her future.[1]
Abilities
Samten managed to learn how to fight with a staff after escaping from the clutches of the Rising Flame Triad.[1]

- Samten is a pregenerated character for players to use in the Adventure Booklet: The Burning Fuse, using The Idealist playbook.[1] Before the release of this adventure, she was the unnamed representative of the same playbook in the Core Book.[2]
