Biographical information
Ron Koertge grew up in rural Olney, Illinois, and received a BA from the University of Illinois and an MA from the University of Arizona. For many years, he taught at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and then later at Pasadena City College in California, where he still lives with his wife.[1][2] He is the author of several acclaimed novels, most of them aimed at young adults. He is a two-time winner of the PEN Literary Award for Children's Literature[2]
