He is the author of The Reckoning of Roku and The Awakening of Roku, the fifth and sixth novels in the Chronicles of the Avatar series. He will also write the seventh installment of the series.[1]

Biographical information
Ribay was born in the Philippines and raised in the Midwest. He initially studied aerospace engineering, but later changed his major to English literature and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from the University of Colorado Boulder. His master's degree was in language and literacy from Harvard Graduate School of Education.[2][3] Ribay currently teaches high school English in San Francisco, California.[3]

- At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Ribay expressed the wish to write a story about Lu Ten at one point.[4]
