Career
Cech began her acting career in 2015, appearing in one episode of the CBS series Hawaii Five-0 followed by appearances in The Thundermans and Hand of God. She appeared in two episodes of American Horror Story in 2016, before appearing in two episodes of the first season of American Housewife in 2017, returning for one episode of the third season in 2019. Cech made her film debut in 2018 in The Darkest Minds, followed a year later by a role in the Netflix film Rim of the World. Though both films received generally negative reviews, Cech's own performances were well received by critics. That same year, she appeared in the romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe, portraying the younger version of the character played by Ali Wong, and in three episodes of the revived Nickelodeon show Are You Afraid of the Dark?, with Cech's performance in the latter again receiving praise.
From 2020 to 2021, Cech starred in the main role in the Nickelodeon series The Astronauts, which ran for 10 episodes. This was followed by lead roles in the comedy drama Marvelous and the Black Hole, which premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, and the Apple TV+ series Surfside Girls in 2022. From 2022 to 2023 she appeared in three episodes of the Disney+ series The Santa Clauses, based on The Santa Clause film series, and in 2023 played the titular role in the film American Girl: Corinne Tan in which her sister Kai also appeared.
