Home to communities of fishers and farmers, it also hosted the prestigious Sunray Academy during the era of Szeto. Karr Lok Island has a tropical, often fairly unpredictable weather.[1]
History
In the era of Szeto, a firebending team from the island's Sunray Academy -the "Team Flame Throwers"- won a Fire Nation-wide bending tournament.[1] Four years later, a regional bending tournament for young firebending students was held on the island.[1][2]
