Biographical information
Personal life
Bedard was born in Anchorage, Alaska, to an Iñupiaq mother and a Cree/French Canadian father. She is an enrolled citizen of the Native Village of Koyuk in Alaska.
In 1993, she married musician Deni Wilson. They divorced in 2012.
Career
Bedard is perhaps best known for the role of Suzy Song in the 1998 film Smoke Signals, as well as providing the voice of the titular character in Disney's 1995 animated film Pocahontas. She has reprised the role of Pocahontas numerous times for other Disney animated projects.
