The foaming mouth guy was a resident of Suki's village on Kyoshi Island and possibly the biggest fan of the Avatar.[2]
History
When Aang and his friends arrived at his village on Kyoshi Island in 99 AG, the foaming mouth guy went into a screaming fit and started foaming at the mouth before fainting and falling to the ground.[3]
Soon after the Avatar's departure from the island, the foaming mouth guy noticed something suspicious as he walked from Koi Harbor to his home village. Near the Crystal Falls Waterfall, he heard shouting. He subsequently reported this to the village leadership who notified Suki. As the latter met him for questioning, the foaming mouth guy initially got very excited, hoping that his report might had caused the Avatar to return to personally investigate. Upon being informed by the Kyoshi Warrior that this was not the case, he was dejected, though still retold what he had experienced. When Suki finished the questioning and thanked him for his cooperation, he asked the Kyoshi Warrior and her comrades to "tell [the Avatar] to swing by" if they saw him.[1]
Sometime later, the people of Suki's village celebrated the restoration of their homes and the Kyoshi Monument after repairing the damage caused by Zuko's raid on Kyoshi Island. On the occasion, the foaming mouth guy again went into a screaming fit and fainted.[1]
In spring 100 AG, Katara and Sokka returned to Kyoshi Island without Aang, who was being held prisoner in Chin Village at the time. As they arrived, the foaming mouth guy repeated his first performance, only to be embarrassed when he realized Aang was not with them. He got up, wiped the foam from his mouth and walked away from the crowd, his shirt pulled over his face in shame.[4]
Later in life, the foaming mouth guy had at least one child. One of his descendants became an Amon supporter.[5]

- In the youth of Kyoshi, one local living in Koi Harbor started "foaming from the mouth" upon seeing "Avatar" Yun.[6]
- A fan favorite,[7] an additional creative contribution from animator Ki Hyun Ryu resulted in his foaming at the mouth.[8]
- Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino jokingly stated that Suki supposedly once dated the foaming mouth guy, but was not proud of it.[9]
- The cries he makes are not dubbed over in the German or French language episodes, and he does not make any noise in the Dutch version.[3]
- The foaming mouth guy was voiced by Avatar co-creator Bryan Konietzko under the alias Byron McKittrick.
