Erdene was an inhabitant of Bhanti Island who developed airbending abilities following the Harmonic Convergence of 171 AG. She relocated to Republic City to join the members of the Air Nation there, joined by her sister, Qacha.

History

Erdene and her sister Qacha came from Bhanti Island in the Fire Islands. To Erdene, the island was awfully, terribly, obnoxiously boring. After Harmonic Convergence, Erdene gained airbending abilities, and she was ecstatic. She immediately began badgering her family to let her leave the island and go train with the new Air Nation, as it was her big chance to see the world.

While Qacha was hesitant, eventually the sisters' mother insisted that Erdene go to meet up with the other airbenders and learn how to use her abilities — and that Qacha go with her to keep her out of trouble. Erdene was grateful to be able to leave, but annoyed that her overbearing older sister had to come, too. But when they left Bhanti Island, Erdene was thrilled with every last thing she saw and experienced.

When they reached Republic City and met up with the Air Nation, Erdene immediately proved herself capable as an airbender. She was prodigiously talented, and was easily capable of mastering techniques and abilities as fast as she could be taught. However, she also found the more restrictive elements of her training to be stifling, and she had a tendency to sneak out as often as possible, requiring Qacha to follow her.

Erdene and Qacha met Bolin on a team where they protected a train depot from saboteurs, where they worked together with Thi, Meeka, and Dae to resolve the situation. After this incident, Bolin asked to meet the five again for a quick noodle lunch at Dancing Dan's Noodles near the Varrimovers International Studio. He explained that the production of new mover Sengo: Lady of the Winds was having problems, and that he suspected that benders were endangering the set. Being busy as President Zhu Li Moon's personal assistant, Bolin asked the team if they could do him a favor by handling security for the mover production.

Personality

Erdene was a confident and warm airbender who was often excited about new things. However, she could also be rather impetuous, and had a tendency to rush into situations without thinking.

Abilities

A prodigious airbender, Erdene quickly mastered several airbending techniques and abilities. Her strong individual streams of air often resembled a firebender's flame jets.
