Chit Sang's girlfriend was a prisoner at the Boiling Rock who was romantically involved with Chit Sang. She accompanied her boyfriend on his first attempt to escape the prison, but their efforts were ultimately unsuccessful.

History

Sometime before Sokka and Zuko's arrival, Chit Sang's girlfriend was found guilty of a crime and subsequently sent to the most secure prison in the Fire Nation, the Boiling Rock.

In 100 AG, her boyfriend, Chit Sang, involved her in an escape attempt concocted by Sokka. However, during the execution of the plan, Chit Sang became impatient and started to row the cooler in which they were riding, using a piece of the vessel. He burned his hand by accidentally touching the scalding water of the boiling lake, causing him to scream in pain. This attracted the guards' attention, leading to their recapture.

• Chit Sang's girlfriend did not have any lines in the series.
• After they got caught escaping the first time, she did not join her boyfriend in his second successful escape attempt.
• Chit Sang's girlfriend was inspired by the mother of May Chan, the writer of "The Boiling Rock, Part 1".
  • Chan's father, mother, and her father's best friend escaped Communist China together by swimming from China to Hong Kong, which inspired Chan to write Chit Sang bringing his girlfriend and best friend along for the first escape attempt.
