Borte was a High Priestess of the Temple of Corruption. She was the commander of the League of Shattered Skulls' Temple Guard, a fanatical group of zealots in the cult of Father Glowworm.[2]
History
Borte was enslaved by the League of Shattered Skulls. She managed to talk herself out of becoming a human sacrifice, and entered Chanyu's service in the Temple of Corruption.
As Borte lacked Chanyu's spiritual connection, she relied on her relentless determination to survive in the cult of Father Glowworm. Borte managed to position herself as a High Priestess through guile and manipulation of Chanyu's warped mind. As High Priestess, Borte received command of the Temple Guard, a fanatical group that answered only to her. She saw these zealots as the key for her to overthrowing Chanyu, and potentially claiming Murong's throne.[2]
