Aupilaarjuk was a courier from the Southern Water Tribe who lived during the era of Kyoshi. She bore the responsibility of delivering correspondances between the Southern Tribe and the Northern Tribe, as well as working an occasional hired courier for the Order of the White Lotus.[1]
History
As courier, Aupilaarjuk was responsible for carrying messages between the North and the South. Her job carried risks, as she often carried messages that others did not want to arrive at their destination, and because the distance between the two tribes was so vast, with much opportunity for things to go wrong. She also occasionally worked as a courier for the Order of the White Lotus, but only spoke of that relationship to a trusted few individuals. Whenever the White Lotus hired her to make a delivery, it was because that delivery was of extreme importance, and would result in disaster if it fell into the wrong hands.
After the Camellia-Peony War, she received a job of utmost importance, and she ferried messages between the lesser politicians of the two tribes working to support the south and defend against pirates.[1]
