Biography
Cho was born in Amarillo, Texas, to Korean-American parents. She was raised in San Antonio and Plano, TX. She was bullied as a child, as she grew up in an area with few ethnic minorities. Cho's family later moved to Minnesota.
She attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, planning on becoming a lawyer, but she developed an interest in acting after taking drama classes. She also became more interested in Asian American culture at large.
After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. She managed to land a role on popular drama series Pretty Little Liars, and came to prominence with her role in supernatural teen drama Teen Wolf, where she was promoted to a main cast role in the fourth season of the show. In 2022, she starred as the lead character on the Netflix series Partner Track.
