Feng was a waitress at the Jasmine Dragon.[1]

History

Feng was working at the Jasmine Dragon after the Hundred Year War, and Iroh came to rely on her as his primary helper at the tea shop.[1][2] One day, she was getting tired past closing when she was tending to Li-Mei, the last customer of the day. Iroh noticed her exhaustion and told her to go home and rest, or see the city's nightlife if she preferred, offering to take over from her. Feng thanked Iroh before leaving for home.[1]

Later, Feng told Iroh that Li-Mei had returned to the shop. She went to bring the customer a set of tea, but was tripped up by the spirits hiding in the tea shop, and apologized to Li-Mei for the mistake. The customer told her not to worry, and simply asked if she was alright. Iroh approached her, telling her to accept mistakes, and asked her to take a break. A while later, she told Iroh that Li-Mei wanted more tea. After Iroh asked Li-Mei to accompany him to dinner, he went to close up, but Feng smiled, telling Iroh that she could handle the shop for the rest of the night. Iroh thanked her, telling Feng that she was a kind and lovely young lady.[1]

Feng informed Iroh about the Jasmine Dragon's supply issues.

Over the following time, Feng started to notice that the Jasmine Dragon's supply of tea was becoming irregular, as their merchants of choice had difficulties in replenishing their stock. She spoke to other tea shop owners around Ba Sing Se, learning that these suffered from the same issue. One day, Feng was present when an anti-Iroh protestor started to make a ruckus outside the Jasmine Dragon. At Iroh's suggestion, the waitress delivered a cup of tea to the protestor, yet the man threw the drink to the ground in his fury. Afterward, a group of angry customers rallied and drove the protestor away. In the evening, Feng again checked the Jasmine Dragon's tea supplies, and informed Iroh that they were low on all blends due to the continuing delivery irregularities. The older man promised to take care of the problem, and he subsequently restored the regular tea supply during a small adventure.[2]

Six months later, Feng assisted Iroh in presenting the Jasmine Dragon's newest tea blends whose ingredients had been supplied by June, the shop's newest employee.[2]

Personality

Feng was a very hard-working person, and somewhat of a perfectionist. She would work late no matter how tired she was, and apologize profusely if she ever made a mistake. However, she would respond with gratitude when her employer told her to take a break from work. She was also pleased to see Iroh happy, and was eager to take over the shop from him for the rest of the night after he asked Li-Mei on a date.[1] She was also very proud of her work, happily telling customers that the Jasmine Dragon was the "best tea shop in the world".[2]
