Personal life
Stevens has a sister, Julie Stevens, who is an architect in Chicago.
Career
He moved from Chicago to New York at age thirteen to begin his acting career. He broke through in a theater role in the musical edition of A Christmas Carol. This was followed up by 544 performances, both on and off Broadway, in the Torch Song Trilogy. His most recent theater credit was a performance in William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
