Lei was a Fire Nation diplomat, born in the colonies. She worked on fostering relations between the Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation after the Hundred Year War.[1]

History

Lei was a Fire Nation colonial, and married an Earth Kingdom man. The couple had a daughter named Rose, who spent her childhood growing up in the countryside of the Fire Nation territories in the Earth Kingdom. After the Hundred Year War, ended, the family was called to Ba Sing Se. Lei and her husband were both wealthy diplomats, and they lived in a beautiful villa in the Middle Ring, with a mix of Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom art and artifacts decorating their home.[1][2]

Unfortunately, Rose struggled to fit in with others in the city, though Lei always wanted to maintain the family's image, and tried to keep her daughter in line to the best of her ability.[1] After Rose attended the Flying Koi Carnival, she went missing. Lei met up with Detective Ziming, and they concluded that something nefarious must have happened to her daughter.[3]

Personality

Lei was obsessed with maintaining her family's pristine image, and struggled to keep her headstrong daughter in line. When Rose went missing she was worried for her daughter, but also desired to settle the circumstances quietly so that the family image would be kept intact.[1]
