Yuzhen Sr. was the aging CEO of Sparrowkeet Air and a greedy and entitled businessman.[1]
History
Yuzhen Sr. built Sparrowkeet Air by helping the Fire Nation innovate and improve their dirigibles during the Hundred Year War. After the war ended, he remained in business, and felt no remorse for his actions, believing that he had not profited off the war in any way. While he remained as the official CEO of Sparrowkeet Air, his son Yuzhen Jr. took over the actual day-to-day affairs of the business.[1]
When the corporation found a small, abandoned spirit shrine with Air Nomad iconography on one of their sites, a team of experience archaeologists were hired to excavate the ruins. Big Yuzhen assured Qian Yu that any artifacts they found would be preserved and returned to Avatar Aang, believing that nothing would be found. After the team uncovered a valuable pre-war artifact from the Eastern Air Temple, Yuzhen Sr. was intent on selling it to the highest bidder. When she learned what Sparrowkeet was planning to do, Qian Yu took the artifact from them.[2] Yuzhen Sr. was furious that Qian Yu stole an artifact found on land that he owned, and used his money to hire mercenaries and bounty hunters in search of the archaeologist.[3]
Personality
Yuzhen Sr. was a very greedy and entitled man. He was driven to getting back what he believed was rightfully his to the point of obsession, although usually carried this out by bossing someone else around to get their hands dirty.[1]
Abilities
With little else to do with his free time in his old age, Yuzhen Sr. enjoyed strategizing over his war miniatures. He was particularly proud of having crafted Sparrowkeet Air dirigible minis that he painted himself, although no-one in Sparrowkeet Air would say to his face that his artistic skills were lacking.[1]
