Biographical information
Personal life
Born in Ferndale, Washington, Norris graduated from Ferndale High School in 1983. In 1988, he first married voice actress Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, until they divorced in 2012. Later in 2021, he married actor Ray Garcia.[1]
Career
Under numerous pseudonyms, Norris has been a voice actor since 1977, beginning in television and moving into film and video games.
His live acting work began in film with Hobgoblins in 1988 was later featured in an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and moved to television with Earth Angel in 1991.
He provided the voice of J. Jonah Jameson (a role also played by J. K. Simmons) in the video game Spider-Man (2000) for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 and the animated series The Spectacular Spider-Man (2008โ2009).
Norris is known for the role as Gordy in forty-four episodes of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Gordy is the school's lazy, wacky janitor who always goads Ned into rash actions while acting as Ned's go-to guy for advice.
He also held the role of Cliff McCormack, a Public Defender and Mars family friend, in seventeen episodes of Veronica Mars. The character of McCormack served as an ally to Keith and Veronica Mars and a client of Mars Investigations.
Norris played Buddha Bob in the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush.
