The guard post soldier was a corporal of the Earth Empire tasked with guarding the nation's territory walls.

History

In 174 AG he was on duty at a border crossing used by Varrick, Bolin, and several fugitives. His officer allowed the group to pass, thinking that they were Earth Empire soldiers. However, when the soldier looked at wanted posters of the two men, he recognized them as traitors to the empire. He, along with the other soldiers, attacked the fugitive group and tried to hinder their escape. During their battle, he held his own against Baraz. After the loss of power in the mecha tanks, Bolin lavabent toward the guard post soldier and his comrades, which prompted him to order his men to retreat, as the gates were being closed by the lava.
