Biographical information

Sun-Hyung Lee was born on August 16, 1972 in Daejeon, South Korea. When he was three months old, his family immigrated to Canada to provide him a better life. As he aged, he and his sister worked in various family businesses, which included a variety store. In 1990, he entered the University of Toronto. During his time in college, he became interested in acting. His father initially did not support his career because his brother, a respected actor, had died in poverty. When Lee received his first big paycheck, he gave it to his parents.

Throughout his career, he has won several awards, including three for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of character Appa in the TV series Kim's Convenience.

Lee also worked in Dave Filoni's shows The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian as Carson Teva.[2]

Lee has two children with his spouse, Anna.[2] A self-professed nerd, he is a collector of movies, action figures, and an avid replica prop builder, cosplayer and YouTuber.[3]
