Liva was a wealthy Fire Nation merchant.

History

Based in the Fire Nation Capital, Liva was a successful trader. At some point during Fire Lord Azulon's reign, she slighted a rival merchant, Sun Po, resulting in a lasting enmity.^[1] Over time, Liva took up a variety of hobbies, and eventually became a patron of the arts, specifically theater. Following the death of Azulon in 95 AG, Liva sponsored a theater troupe to perform Azulon's Legacy, a play dedicated to the late ruler and the ascension of his son Ozai to the throne.^[2]

Liva organized the perfomance of Azulon's Legacy in the capital during the festivities surrounding Ozai's coronation. Even though the play was performed for the masses, Liva also invited her upper-class family and friends, considering the commoners a "quaint, rustic backdrop".^[2]
