Sozin and Roku spend their last moments together before Roku leaves for his Avatar training.

Continuity

• Sozin's parents' names follow the naming tradition of the Fire Nation introduced in Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game, with the corresponding syllables "Zei" in Hazei and Zeisan, as well as "So" in Taiso and Sozin.
• Roku falling off the roof as him and Sozin spar lightly is reminiscent of when Roku trips over a tree branch during his and Sozin's other sparring match in "The Avatar and the Fire Lord".
• Roku being given the Crown Prince headpiece is consistent to the scenes of Roku's childhood in "The Avatar and the Fire Lord".

Character revelations

• Sozin's parents are Fire Lord Taiso and Lady Hazei.
• Roku has a brother.
• Sozin gave Roku his headpiece by Taiso's command.
