The moon peach is a pale, round fruit native to Air Nomad territory but can also be found in the Earth Kingdom.[1][2] In the Southern Air Temple, moon peaches were eaten with fresh cream when summers started cooling into fall.[3] It was a favorite treat of Momo's.[4]
History
Members of the Autumn Bloom Society tucked moon peach blossoms into their clothing to showcase their loyalty to the society.[5]
Moon peaches were among a series of fruits that Momo laid out for Sokka to eat while at the Southern Air Temple. However, before Sokka could eat the last moon peach, Momo jumped up and grabbed it out of his hand, prompting Aang to name the winged lemur "Momo".[4]
Moon peaches were mentioned by Katara when she tried to reassure Appa, who was worried about Aang and Sokka's mysterious disappearance into the Spirit World.[1]
In the Middle Ring of Ba Sing Se, a rumor said that the the late owner's ghost of the Moon Peach Inn haunts the halls of the place at dusk, offering moon peach cakes before an early retirement to the Spirit World.[6]
