Koa was the leader of a group of Southern Water Tribe mercenaries called the Snow Rats, who became bounty hunters after the end of the Hundred Year War.[1]
History
Koa led the Snow Rats, a group of Southern Water Tribe survivors who fought against the Fire Nation during the Hundred Year War. When the war was over, Koa started taking bounties to provide for himself and his kin, and his fellow tribespeople did the same. Koa and the rest of the Snow Rats were interested on the bounty placed on Qian Yu, a thief wanted by Sparrowkeet Air. Koa was unaware that Qian Yu had taken an Air Nomad artifact that Sparrowkeet Air wanted to sell to the highest bidder and instead planned to give it to Avatar Aang. He was well aware of the devastation caused by the war and its effects on the other nations, but he desperately needed money to feed his family.[1]
Personality
Koa always cared for others and was driven to provide for his loved ones.[1]
Abilities
Koa was reliable, competent, and able to complete any task set in front of him. He was skilled with weapons and could make powerful, impassioned, and unbalanced strikes during a fight.[1]
