The game comprises six distinct game modes, which each utilise the same engine and feature similar graphics and art assets.

The Avatar Set, featuring characters and other items from the Avatar world, was added to Fortnite: Battle Royale as part of Chapter 5: Season 2 beginning March 8, 2024.
