The Air Acolyte woman was one of the nonbending Air Acolytes living on Air Temple Island. She aided Pema during Rohan's birth and subsequently left the island to escape during the Equalists' battle for Republic City.[1]

History

When Pema went into labor during the Equalist attack on Air Temple Island, the Air Acolyte woman quickly brought her inside to give birth. As Pema began to worry for her children, the woman reassured her that Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo were safe in the room next to them and that there was nothing about which she should worry. Thanks to the Air Acolyte woman, Rohan was born with no complications. She stood by quietly as Tenzin and his family gathered to see the baby.

As more Equalist airships approached, she fled the island along with Tenzin's family and another female Air Acolyte, guiding her own flying bison.[1]

In 174 AG, she was among the last group of citizens in Republic City to be evacuated during the invasion of the United Republic of Nations. As they became stranded at Central City Station when the train lines were cut by the Earth Empire, she and the other evacuees sat and waited, bored as Pema attempted to entertain them with old airbender songs. When Prince Wu arrived with two badgermoles, she followed the creatures as they tunneled a way for the evacuees to escape underneath the city.[2]
